Overview
The IONIQ 5 is Hyundai's premium electric crossover, built on the company's dedicated E-GMP electric platform. The latest update brought a larger 84 kWh battery, replacing the earlier 72.6 kWh pack.
The claimed range is 690 km (ARAI). A single rear motor makes 229 PS. On a 350 kW DC charger it goes from 10 to 80% in about 18 minutes, and an 11 kW AC wallbox charges it fully in about seven and a half hours. It seats five, with 584 litres of boot space plus a 57-litre front trunk, and supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) power for external devices. Level 2 ADAS is standard.
