Overview

The Treo Yaari is Mahindra's low-speed e-rickshaw — the lithium-ion alternative to the lead-acid e-rickshaws common on Punjab's city and town routes — seating the driver plus four.

Mahindra quotes about 80 km of real-world range per charge, a 2.5-hour charge time and a top speed of 24.5 km/h (the e-rickshaw class limit). It has regenerative braking, an IP67-rated motor, rust-free SMC body panels and a digital dashboard. Mahindra puts running costs at about 50 paise per km, with a 3-year / 40,000 km warranty. Ex-showroom prices range from ₹1.96 to ₹2.04 lakh.
